NorthWest Reno

Northwest Reno encompasses the area from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) heading west through the Mae Anne area, all the way over to Somersett.

The University area is chock full of college students and young families in apartment buildings, folk Victorian and Cape Cod style homes. This area features small urban parks as well as the larger Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, where you’ll find the Wilbur D. May Arboretum, a dog park, the Reno Softball Complex, and plenty of walking and hiking trails.

Farther west in Somersett you’ll find spacious ranches and two-story homes near the country club, as well as easy access to hiking and biking trails that traverse the foothills of Mt. Peavine, which reaches over 8,200’ at its peak.
